Full terms and conditions for Katie's Bakes can be found below.

These terms form the basis of the contract between Katie's Bakes and the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to check that all details in the order are complete and accurate as this is referred back to when fulfilling your order.

All orders require a 50% deposit to be made via bank transfer, which also confirms that the terms and conditions have been read, understood and accepted. After discussing a potential order, a price will be given but there is no guarantee of securing your requested order date until we have received a deposit. 

Free delivery in Long Stratton is available. Full details of the accurate address will be required with any additional details regarding getting to your location. I am unable to leave any cakes out at your delivery address, and no refund will be available for the failed delivery attempt. In the case of this happening, that no one is available to take your order upon my delivery, the cake will arrive back to Katie's Bakes address and it is then the customer's responsibility to arrange a collection time. 

Alternatively, orders may be collected from my address which will be provided at the time of you placing an order, within time a collection date and time will be accepted and agreed between Katie's Bakes and the customer.

Cakes need to be transported on a flat surface such as a foot well or the boot - not on someone's lap or the seat. During summer, please make sure you always have the air conditioning on when transporting the cake to avoid any heat sweat or damage to the cake.

Once the order has left Katie's Bakes address we are not responsible for any damage that happens during transit. Cakes are extremely fragile and all customers are made aware of my care and transport guide, which they must follow in order to prevent any damages to the cake.

Some cakes & cupcakes may require non-edible decorations or toppers in order to fulfil your desired design. These include dowels, cocktail sticks, glitter card, dried flowers and plastic figures. It is in the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all non edible items are removed from the cake prior to cutting and consuming. All non-edible decorations and toppers are outlined on the packaging.

All themes and designs for cakes and cupcakes will be confirmed when you enquire about placing an order, we then confirm back to you your requested details. Should there be any requests to change any details of you are we do require a notice of minimum 2 weeks.  Katie's Bakes retains the right to refuse any requested detail changes if there is insufficient time to make the change, find the specialist products or for any other reason. If changes are accepted this will be confirmed back to the customer, as well as outlining any additional charges depending what the change is. 

Please communicate when ordering if you have any special dietary requests, as we DO NOT cater for allergies. Full allergen information will be provided on the packaging. The ingredients for my bakes and cakes are likely to contain:

Gluten, Eggs, Milk, Peanuts, Nuts & Soya. 

Please know that although nut ingredients can be removed they are still used in the kitchen unfortunately, which means i can not guarantee that all my bakes don't have traces for those that do have severe allergies.

As soon as you have cut the cake, ensure you wrap up any leftovers in clingfilm and store within an air tight container and in the fridge. Before planning to serve your cake please make sure you take it out the fridge 1 hour prior.

All cakes supplied by Katie's Bakes are baked with fresh ingredients and do not contain any additives or preservatives. Therefore, all cupcakes and cakes must be consumed within 5 days after collecting your order or having it delivered. 

When certain food colours are used within an order, the below artificial food colourings may be involved which may have an adverse effect on the activity of children:

E102 (tartrazine)

E104 (quinoline yellow)

E110 (sunset yellow FCF)

E122 (carmoisine)

E124 (ponceau 4R)

E129 (allura red)

If you require to cancel an order this must be done 14 days prior to the order date in writing. A full refund of the deposit will be made provided no costs have been incurred in supplying the order. Should there be costs incurred these will be assessed and deducted from the deposit refund accordingly. 

If you fail to make the cancellation within 14 days then a refund will not be given.
